TPA3255 is a high-performance Class-D power amplifier chip, which has Class-D efficiency and can bring real high-end sound quality circuit. The device features an advanced integrated feedback design and proprietary high-speed gate driver error correction (PurePath™ Ultra HD). This technology allows the device to maintain ultra-low distortion across the entire audio frequency band while delivering sound quality. The device operates in AD mode, can drive up to two 315W/4R loads and two 150W (unclipped power)/8R loads at 1.5% THD, and features a 2 VRMS analog input interface for interfacing with high-performance DACs (such as TI's PCM5242) seamless connection. In addition to excellent audio performance, the TPA3255 combines high power efficiency with ultra-low power-level idle losses (less than 2.5W). This can be achieved with an 85mR MOSFET and an optimized gate driver scheme. Compared with the traditional discrete implementation scheme, this scheme can significantly reduce the idle loss.
